How to Play: Protecting Puppies

Filed under: Uncategorized — 2017ijg at 12:29 pm on Thursday, March 29, 2012

These puppies need your help! Multiple parsties have infected the puppies. Help destroy these harmful creatures before it’s to late too save the puppies’ lives! This game his three levels: Fleas, Ticks, and Tapeworms. Each level will get progressively harder.

For this level, you must gather medicine to treat the fleas. The “medicine” is actually points that allow you to win the level. This medicine will kill the fleas and relieve skin irritation that the puppies would have. Fleas are more than just annoying insects. The host of the flea can get skin irritation or become itchy . Some dogs have fairly mild reactions to flea bites. However, young puppies become severely anemic and gravely ill from the blood loss. You will play as a top-down avatar. Top-down avatars may not jump. Even though you can’t jump, you may move in any direction. You only have three lives so be careful because your enemies will be faster than you are. Luckily for you, your enemies move in one direction. There will be a goal block so you will have to find that along with points. You must find all the points before you can reach the goal. If you go to the goal block without all of the points it will not work. Even though this level is fairly easy, the puppies will still need your help! Be careful because time will not be on your side.

The next level’s goal is to shoot the ticks. These ticks are a burden because they have extended themselves throughout the puppies’ skin. Ticks can transmit different diseases. The most common tick-borne diseases are: Lyme disease, Ehrlichiosis, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Anaplasmosis, and Babesiosis. Like level 1, your avatar also has three lives, but this time it may shoot. The tricky part is some of your enemies can shoot too! The enemies that don’t shoot shouldn’t give you a problem. In order to win you must eliminate all enemies. Once you blast them all you will unlock the goal block. The amount of enemies destroyed can be found at the top right of the screen. This is called the ‘frag counter’. The timer on this level will be shorter then from the previous level. Level 2 can be a challenge, but it is not impossible!

The final level is to collect the last pellet of medicine. Unfortunately, the tapeworms spread to puppies at another veterinarian hospital. The common dog tapeworm can be controlled by eliminating fleas from the environment. That is why we destroyed the fleas first. This pellet is big enough to break off  in pieces for all of them. Your opponents this time are tapeworms. This parasite moves randomly and will pop out of no where! Make sure you pace yourself because you have to be patient and fast in order to not get caught! Unless you want to lose your two lives you must be patient. Your avatar has one less life because destroying enemies makes it tired. Do you want some helpful hints? There are multiple goal blocks in this level. Try not to get tricked by the goal blocks that are blocked off. If you are tricked, your time and the puppies’ time to live will be wasted. You will learn many things during this level.

In Conclusion, you will have no problem in defeating these parasites. This valuable information of your goals, avatars, and enemies will help you win this game. You will also learn information about parasites and how they may affect puppies. These puppies will definitely be saved because of you efforts!

The Adventures of Night Owl

Filed under: Uncategorized — 2017ijg at 1:36 pm on Friday, November 18, 2011

At the time of birth a hero was born into this world. She was an ordinary orphan with no troubles and no name, but not for long. As always she watches the owls as they watch her. She does not even know why she likes them; they barely do anything according to her. Until one night…she heard a splash. She runs and runs to the area because she knows the owls are there. A green glow arises from the cold dirt. Unexpectedly, the owl flew out a scratched her bare arms. While she falls to the ground the owl disintegrates. Years passed from the time she was six years old and the scar stays. One day she walked her younger sister that wasn’t her sister by blood to school as she promised on this dark winter day. When the bell rang it was not for the end of the day. A fire had started! Wide-eyed when she over heard on the news she dashed to the school that was already in its ruins. Frustrated, she stops to catch her breath. While she becomes calm she goes through her first transformation. A white owl appeared and took off! Opening her eyes was frightening. The brisk air slips through her feathers. A scream is heard and she flies toward it. Her sister stuck in rubble. The dry air scratches through her windpipe and out she goes! The child however is burned and rushed to the hospital. She is also hurt, but keeps on flying. The bright moon is out and she remembers that night. Her flashback was caught off when a teacher yelled,” Thank you Night Owl! ” What a particular name she thought. Night Owl knew know people will be talking about this so a costume must be made! Since Night Owl had always been indifferent to others so she wanted a mask. Long before the accident the lady in charge of the orphanage gave Night Owl a necklace of the crescent moon. The rest wasn’t anything special to her. It was just a black top and black heels. Her skirt was pale green and so was the top of her shoes. Around her arms there were black laces that stretched to her fists. That was good enough for her. A day later her sister kept talking and talking about her hero. She asked Night Owl if she saw…well herself and if she was pretty or harsh looking. The older sister was amused by her sister’s questions and how they were non-stop.” If only you knew” Night Owl thought. Since that day of triumph Night Owl could not really look at herself. She was confused how she got in to this and she barely does anything according to her…just like the owls. So far she has no nemesis to start a rivalry; she would think that would be to troublesome.Only one year passed and her name is known around anywhere trouble has stuck, but the question is will anyone try to stop her reign of being a hero?

 Book Title: The Help

Book Author: Kathryn Stockett

Number of Pages: 522

Plot Analysis

Setting- The setting first takes place at Jacksonville, Mississippi, USA on August 1962. All the information is on the first page. “Mae Mobley was born on a early Sunday morning in August 1960.” Mae Mobley is now 2 years old. Aibileen is usually found. Leefolt’s house.

Characters- The main character is Aibileen because she is found in most chapter and on the first and last page of the novel. On 522 the ending sentence belongs to Aibileen. “Cause just last night I though I was finished with everything new.” The antagonist would most likely be Mrs. Hilly. Mrs. Hilly is always trying to ruin the lives on the maids that she thinks are in the book Miss. Skeeter wrote. On 517 she said, “Then it behooves me to inform you that you are fired, Ailbileen.”

Conflict- In the novel Aibileen, Minny, and Miss.Skeeter they must keep a secret of writing a novel from a black maids’ point of view. Minny says, “You know what’ll happen if people catch us? Forget the time accidentally use the wrong changing room down at McRae’s women’s wear, I’d have guns pointing at my house.” She is saying that writing the book is bigger than going to a wrong changing room with higher consequences. This conflict is the biggest out of the smaller ones they have come to. They begin to do interviews on page 192.

Climax- The climax occurs when Help is reviewed by Dennis James. Most people were watching his show. This makes most things better. On 469 he says,” …and it is truly touching, Enlightening.” After most people see this in Jackson people started to read it, but it took awhile.

Resolution- Everything becomes settled when our characters take their own path. Miss.Skeeter moved away from Jackson to New York. On 499 it states,”Minny, Miss.Skeeter got a job offer in New York City!” Minny moves in with her sister and children because of her husband. It quotes this on page 515,” My sister…be here soon. We gone stay with her tonight.” Aibileen stays in Jackson, but  she writes Miss Myrna letters for the paper instead of being a maid. Everything new she says.

Worst 5 Songs EVER

Song #1: Friday ( Rebecca Black )

This song is way to repetitive! Some people say it is catchy, but it is just obnoxious the 3rd time you listen to it!

Song #2: G6 ( Far East Movement )

G6 is strange if you actually listen to the lyrics. Sounds mostly like auto-tune. I don’t like auto-tunes.

Song #3: Jessica ( The Allman Brothers Band )

I don’t like how the guitar sounds. I guess it is just me because most people like this song. It is not as bad as Friday so it will be my #3.

Song #4: Chocolate Rain ( Tay Zonday )

This song is very strange. I really do not see the point of the lyrics.

Song #5: The Duck Song ( forrestfire101)

This is number five becuase I will admit I liked this a little at first. Now it’s just plain annoying!

JAILED!

I woke up in the most uncomfortable place I could imagine. Words could not tell what I felt, but it was not good. My pocket felt heavy so I looked what was in it. I found a red key, someone’s ID, scissors, a small bag, and a price tag. Then it hit me! I have been framed for shoplifting! I figured that if I go to sleep I would remember. I was at the mall and a strange lady was looking at price tags.” Store closing in five minutes” said the cashier. The woman ran up to me to ask if she could barrow my cell phone to call her kid. I was hesitant to give it to her but I did. After I handed the phone, I said “What a cute purse!”She said I could look at it and said the same about mine. The security guard said it was time to go so when I turned around to ask the lady for my bag she was gone! “How could I be such an idiot!” I thought. Good thing I was only shopping to see so I did not have any money in there. I just stepped through the door and then the alarm went off! The guards came running and found one of those security knobs and a price tag on a small bag inside of the lady’s bigger bag. I tried to tell them it is not my bag, but they just said ” you have the right to remain silent” I put a frown on my face. We walked a long time through the never ending parking lot. The ride was miserable! When I got there I saw some scissors it seems like that lady somehow cut the price tag off. I snooped some more I found her license it was cardboard. I was not surprised.  I guess I was complaining or something so they gave me a drink and everything went black. So, here I am still wondering what this key is for. There was a tap on the glass. It was that evil lady and a guard! We switched places. I nickered a little and asked what this key was for. She said she had lost her house key and did not have a extra one. So, she needed to have money to pay a blacksmith or key person. I walked away. I really did not see why she was not smart enough to get a loan. Who knows? At least I do not have to go back to that nasty place.

There are a few things that popped up when I searched my name. The first thing that popped up was a remembrance of m grandfather after he died. I did not realize  how many relatives I had. I was amazing to find out that my grandfather had 13 grandchildren! This happend a long time ago I suppose.

The next thing I found I had seen in person. I never knew people put this on the internet! It was a picture of me in 3rd grade as the student of the month. That was the first time I had ever got that. It is nice to look back sometimes.

My Top 5

Filed under: Uncategorized — 2017ijg at 9:04 pm on Tuesday, September 27, 2011

In “My Top 5″ some of the things I want are basically in artistic forms such as music and art.

1. I would have a Grand Piano first. Ever since I was 6 I wanted a real piano not a keyboard with 88 keys because of the sounds they made.

2.It was hard to choose to put this in, but I would want a cat. Even though I have two already I love cats!

3. The third thing I like is a giant notepad! I have always wanted to make one of my drawings bigger for effect.

4. I would like an old piano painting. This made number 4 because it might to be hard to find and I love old paintings!

5. The last thing I want does not impress me as much as number 1. What I would like is a easel because I want to improve on my painting skills.
